Paul Bunyan was part of an advertising campaign created by James MacGillivray in 1916. But the lumberjack legend might have been around long before that. In fact, some people think that the stories began
in Canada in the l9th century.
In the stories Paul Bunyan was very VERY TALL.
He was so tall, that he stood higher than the tallest trees.
His feet were so big that his footsteps created 10,000 lakes in Minnesota.
Think of a balloon!
When you first look at a balloon, it is small.
There is no air in it.
Then you blow into the balloon. It starts to get bigger.
Blow more air into the balloon.
