CHAPTER 4:
THE FLYING TRUCK

A noise was heard from above. The children saw
a truck flying through the air flapping its wings.

"Where is the truck going?" asked Prince Jay.

"Well..." answered Princess Peek-A-Boo slowly, "I'm not really sure. I do know that the truck is surely going somewhere, unless it is going nowhere! If it is going
somewhere, it is likely to get there. If it is going nowhere, it will come back soon."

"But.... why would a truck driver ever fly his truck
nowhere?" The WillyNilly children were very puzzled.

Princess Peek-A-Boo looked at her new friends and said,
"Well, it's like this. In SillyDilly Land we like to move
around and are always on the go. The problem is that
we do not always know where we want to go to. When that happens, we go nowhere. IT IS NOT A VERY LONG TRIP."

"OH!," said Princess Kay. "But wait a minute. I always
thought that everywhere is somewhere, even if you are in one spot. So maybe you mean that nowhere is somewhere, but
not anywhere in particular!"

"No, not really," explained Princess Peek-A-Boo. "To us,
nowhere is not anywhere at all."

"Princess Peek-A-Boo, do you ever hide nowhere?" asked
Prince Jay.

"Sometimes," replied Princess Peek-A-Boo."But only when
there is no where else I can hide."

Princess Kay looked at Princess Fay who looked at Prince Jay who looked at both of his sisters. "Gee, People and animals do strange things in SillyDilly Land!"

"BUT IT 'S NOT STRANGE TO US," Princess Peek-A-Boo reminded them.
