"The people in SillyDilly Land take their garbage and junk to the store," explained Princess Lee. "They give the garbage and junk to the man who owns the store. That is how the store gets plenty of garbage and junk to sell back to the people. The people pay money for the garbage and junk. The man never charges too much."

Prince Jay scratched his head. His sisters scratched their heads.

Then Prince Jay pointed to the sign. " The sign
says that the garbage and other assorted junk is bought and sold. That should mean that the man who owns the store buys the garbage and junk from the people . It doesn't seem to mean that he would get it all free, right?"

Princess Peek-A-Boo shook her head. "Actually, the sign means that the people BUY the junk and the garbage which the man SELLS to them."

"But why would the people just give the garbage and junk to the man in the store for free if they are going to buy it back?"

"Well, the people don't really want the garbage and junk anymore so they give it to the man for free. We do not believe in wasting anything in SillyDilly Land."

Princess Kay had a very puzzled look on her face.
"Then why would they buy back the garbage and junk that they just gave to the man if they didn't want it in the first place? And what will they do with the garbage when they have it back again?"

Princess Peek-A-Boo was a bit surprised at the questions.
"After they buy back the garbage, they give it to
the man again which he then sells back to them. And usually they buy garbage that other people gave to the man, so they aren't always buying their own garbage back. It could go on all day. And there is a sensible reason why they all do this. After all, how else will the
man get money to buy food if the people didn't buy his garbage."

"AND WHERE DO THE PEOPLE IN SILLYLAND
BUY THEIR FOOD?" the three WillyNilly children
asked almost at the same time.
