TOO MANY CARROTS
A Poem With the hard 'C' Sound
Carol took a can of carrots,
Poured the carrots in a pot.
She cooked and cooked the carrots ‘till
They started boiling bubbly hot.
Her father Carlos came and said,
“I'd like some carrots on a plate;
’Cause I am very hungry now.”
And that’s why Carlos ate and ate .
He ate and ate and ate and ate,
Until poor Carlos had his fill.
Then Carol's father ate some more,
And soon he started feeling ill.
He called up Dr. Cass, who said.
“ Calm down, because you'll be all right.
Just close your mouth, for that will mean....
No way to eat another bite."
