A FEW FEUDS

Sir Ollie G. Pindelby walks through the streets,
A friendly ol’ chap to each person he meets.
He makes observations while strolling along,
And conjures up notions which rarely are wrong.

He often sees bickering, fighting and such,
The people he sees are disputing so much.
Well, there was a  day, it just came into view,
A lot of small children--  he focused on two.

These children were sparring ‘bout who would be “IT”.
A game should be pleasant, this wasn’t one bit.
They argued  until there was no time to play.
They had to go home for the rest of the day.

Sir Ollie G. Pindelby walks through the streets,
A friendly ol’ chap to each person he meets.
He always is watching while strolling along,
Develops opinions, they’re always  quite strong.

For Ollie sees bickering, fighting and such,
The people he sees are disputing too much.

And one day , while walking , it came into view,
Some arguing grown-up, with big gripes to chew.
It seems they both wanted the same spot to park,
Their beautiful cars. to leave. well after dark.

Although there were several more spaces nearby,
they both wanted THIS ONE, fists started to fly.
How wasteful, thought Ollie, to spend time like that.
Park here and not  there! causing such a huge spat.

Sir Ollie G. Pindelby lives on a street,
A friendly ol’ chap, yes, the best you could meet.
Such nice cozy houses, with lovely mowed grass,
You’d think that the families are happy…..alas,

They’re not---- there is quarreling, fighting and such.
With clan vs. clan, they are battling  much.
What causes ill feeling? You want to guess why?
Ridiculous reasons, a waste just to try.

One family’s father completely forgot,
To put out the garbage, his neighbor did not.
And what of the mother in house 55,
Cut roses--- this gal should be buried alive!

Of course there’s the neighbor, his house painted red.
Had left in his garden a rusty old sled.
How wasteful, though Ollie, to fight over that.
The roses, red house, and a sled-- caused a spat.

Sir Ollie G. Pindelby, known to be sweet,
A friendly ol’chap, he’s the best you could meet.
He sits late at night watching news on TV
“OH NO!” --- many countries can never agree!”

Sir Ollie G. Pindelby thinks it’s a shame,
If peace can’t exist, well then, who is to blame?
Sir Ollie G Pindelby day after day,
Observes the world living has something to say:

“What’s really the difference, kids get into fights?
The adults will argue some days, even nights?
Just think of the families who’ll feud even more
And what of two countries who’ve just gone to war?”

“A fight is a fight, we must all realize…
There’s no basic difference, except scope and size.
If children are hostile , then what’s to expect?
They’ll turn into grown-ups, no mutual respect.

They then rule their countries, with strong iron will,
To fight bloody battles, with license to kill.”
For folks who want peace, and who treasure a bond,
If attacked, even they are then forced to respond.

IF ONLY ALL HUMANS COULD JUST GET ALONG,
MOTHER NATURE ALONE MIGHT CAUSE LIFE GOING WRONG!
