A JOYOUS JIG
A duck and a chicken and pig,
Together were dancing a jig.
Then a hippo joined in,
On her face was a grin,
Hip hoppidy, widdely wig.
Along came an elephant who,
Decided he’d dance with the crew.
There were five of them ,then,
Dancing merrily when,
Along came a jiggelly gnu.
A lion who lifted his head
Just gazed at the group, and he said
“They are looking so merry,
Ding dongily derry,
" I’ll join them, before I'm in bed."
By now all and all there were seven,
The number soon jumped to eleven.
Pretty soon there were more,
But by half after four,
They muttered "WE'RE FINISHED,
THANK HEAVEN."
