INTRODUCTION

Music is an essential component of the early childhood reading readiness program. The songs give children a rhythmic experience while the rhyme develops a sense of phonics. Remembering lyrics is easier
than remembering non-musical language passages such as poems, so children experience a flow of words in full sentences.

Songs for children are usually joyful. It is an enjoyable, shared activity.

I have been writing rhyming stories for many years. (click for story list).

I began taking music composition lessons from Stephen Lawrence, the well-known,award-winning composer.
(Click for his website).

I am also learning music theory from a fantastic entertainer, Bernie Katzman, who also records my songs.
