          | CHAPTER 2: OLD MAN OAK'S STORY | "This story began way back whenI was small,
A long time ago, I was no tree at all.
Just simply an acorn, a brown
 acorn who...
Sat high in a tree ,where so many
 things grew."

"I sat on a branch, thinking day after day.
 'I'm feeling so lonely,'
 ---yes,---that's what I'd say."

" I look back and know it wasperfectly true,
 There were squirrels, some robins
 and other birds too.
And brown little acorns, who looked
 just like me,
All living together in strong mother tree.
