ASTER J. CHIME

Striving for The Perfect Life

(Any similarity of any person you know or know of to Aster J. Chime is purely coincidental)

I know a fine lady named
Aster J.Chime
Who strives for perfection.......all of the time.

When Aster was young, she would take every test...
Her goal was to score even better than best.

Her room was quite neat, every toy was in place.
Her dresses had genuine Chantilly lace.

And now as a grown-up, it's really the same,
Perfection is ALWAYS the name of her 'game.'

She's very determined , her will is so strong,
That even her errors are perfectly wrong!

Just walk into Aster's home! The first thing you see ,exactly
3 feet beyond the entrance is a bright blue pail. Precisely 3 inches below the rim of the pail is a small 5 inch square sign which reads:

UMBRELLAS ONLY

If you look in the pail you will see only blue umbrellas. SKY BLUE- to match the sign. Each of six umbrellas is perfectly placed two by two.

Just walk a little further into Aster's home. You will notice a hat rack on the wall. On each of 6 rungs is one hat. JUST ONE ON EACH. They are placed centered exactly on the hat rack. There are labels under the hats:

RED HAT BLUE HAT #1 BLUE HAT #2 PINK HAT GREEN HAT PURPLE HAT

Just walk further into Aster's home. You will notice that everything is placed in perfectly exact order.

Aster lives her life with a lofty goal: be perfectly perfect in all things.

l. She is perfectly neat. Are you surprised?

2. She is perfectly polite. She says, " please" "thank you" "you're welcome" at the perfectly appropriate times. She even burps at the perfectly appropriate times.

3. She strives to be perfect at all tasks. As a student she strived for perfect grades. At work she is perfectly on time. When she goes shopping, she always has exact change. She is designing her own website. She is currently working on the start page.

She wants it to be perfect.
She has been on the start page for 5 years!

4. When Aster has appointments, she is exactly on time--not early, not late. If it turns out that she is one or two or three or more minutes early or one or two or three or more minutes late, it is only because the clocks are wrong.

5. etc.

Here is an example of Aster's strive for perfection.

She learned, from her mentor Tiller T. Tiller how to keep her socks in order . But keeping the socks in categories and labeled is not enough for Aster. She insists on aligning the socks exactly, so as to look perfectly neat.

Here is Aster's Sock drawer-- (look familiar? See Tiller T. Tiller's sock drawer.)

CORRECTION!

HERE WAS ASTER'S SOCK DRAWER!

Have you noticed that Aster's socks are not perfectly aligned? Take a closer look:

THIS JUST WON'T DO YOU KNOW!!!

So Aster rearranged the socks, to be straighter.
She used a ruler.
Still not right, so....
She rearranged them again.
And then she rearranged them again.
And then she rearranged them again.
And then she rearranged them again.
And then she rearranged them again.
And then she rearranged them again.

Guess what she did next!

She rearranged them again.
And then she rearranged them again.

Ah! she finally got it right.

HOORAY!

Then she did the laundry !

OH DEAR!!!

So this is the story of Aster J. Chime
Who strives for perfection...all of the time.

She thinks that she'll always be feeling real fine,
'Cause she makes sure her living stays right on the LINE!

Editors note: perfection not possible!!!!
