CHAPTER 1
WHEREVER ARE WE GOING?
“ Gee,” said 12 year old David Foster to his younger sister Carrie early one August morning. “Our summer trip starts in two days and dad hasn’t told us where we are going."
Carrie looked at her brother and shrugged her shoulders. “He said it is a surprise for all of us.”
David Foster, 3 years older than Carrie, continued to frown. “ I hate surprises. I really do. Carrie, do you think Mom may know by now? We haven’t asked her recently.”
“Worth a try,” Carrie said, and then called out to her mother. Anna Foster was in the kitchen when she heard Carrie’s voice.
