Anna thought that swimming would be a wonderful idea.Anna and Jeff put on their bathing suits as well, and went with the children.

“It seems, Jeff, that  our children and their friends have your love of mystery,” Anna observed.

Jeff and Anna did not really believe the legend, but did not want to spoil the children’s fun.

The children, Anna and Jeff went swimming for about an hour. Afterwards,  lunch was served.

They had a nutritious meal,  prepared by Mrs. Lomber. There were  tuna salad  sandwiches on home baked bread. Best of all was Mrs. Lomber’s cherry/orange pie, ( an old family recipe)  topped with  ice cream mixed with whipped cream.

After lunch, the children went outside to talk.

“What are we going to do until sunset?” Carrie complained, with  more than a hint of frustration in his voice.

“ We could play a card game outside on the patio,” Aaron suggested. “Wait, I have a better idea.  Since the  poem talks about 'Mother Goose Rhymes, maybe we should try to get a book that has those little poems.  Let’s ask Mom."

The four children ran to Anna  and Jeff who, by now,  were relaxing on some deck chairs on the front porch.

“Mom, Dad,” David said, almost out of breath.

“Could one of you take us into the town. Perhaps we can find a bookstore that sells 'Mother Goose Rhymes.' ”
