Once upon a time, a miller named Jack lived in a small house, in a small village in a small kingdom. His beautiful daughter Grittel lived with him.
Jack thought he was better than most people. He wanted other people to know how great he was so he bragged a lot. When the men and women of the village came to the town square on Sundays, they would hear his bragging.
"As much as you have," Jack would constantly boast,
"I have a lot more, yes sir!, I've got the most."
"I own the best furniture," he stated with pride.
"My home may be small, but has glories inside."
"And , Oh!, you should see all the clothes that I own,
The finest of garments to ever be sewn!!"
"There's one other thing that has made me so proud,
MY DAUGHTER is pretty, " he boasted out loud.
