Timke looked at Yosef shaking his head. " Yosef, winter is coming, yes , that is true. But it is not here yet! So maybe it will not be cold on Wednesday."
"And if it is cold?!," Yosef went on.
"When not!," replied Timke.
"When yes!" cried Yosef.
"When not!"
"When yes!"
"Then wear a blanket," suggested Timke
" Anyway, Yosef, what good is it to worry only about Wednesday.? What if it is cold tomorrow?
"Oy vey! I didn't think of that ," groaned Yosef. Timke, you must have the coat ready by tomorrow. It might be necessary. You said so yourself. TIMKE, IF I DO NOT HAVE A COAT BY TOMORROW, MY FAMILY WILL STARVE."
"No," Timke remained firm. "Much as I would like, it is not possible to have the coat by tomorrow or Wednesday. I am not sure, but I will try for Thursday."
